Schema-Archimandrite Justin, the abbot of a Serbian Orthodox monastery in Germany, shared his perspective on the state of the world and Ukraine in an interview with the German branch of the UOJ.
In his opinion, the problems within Orthodoxy today arise because some hierarchs make decisions based on worldly goals rather than on Christ.
Therefore, as Schema-Archimandrite Justin states, "People who place Christ first are worthy of admiration, especially when they suffer for it."
"All martyrs acted in this way, and Ukraine is now also producing martyrs. Metropolitan Onuphry is a vivid example of how one should act when remembering Christ. In essence, this is a call for all other hierarchs of the Orthodox Church to follow his example and to try to understand everything from Christ’s perspective," said the clergyman.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that, according to Schema-Archimandrite Justin, Patriarch Bartholomew knows that his actions in Ukraine have not borne good fruit.
