As reported by the parish on its Facebook page, the believers prayed for God's protection of the city and its soldiers.

During the procession, the faithful recited Akathists, stopping at the wayside crosses for the reading of the Gospel and blessings for the city.

Special prayers were offered for God's protection of the city and the Ukrainian soldiers.

The procession traditionally ended with a prayer service at St. Elizabeth’s Fortress.

As reported by the UOJ, more than 4,000 believers participated in a cross procession around the UOC cathedral in Chernivtsi.
