On March 14, 2025, Donald Trump made a post on Truth Social, expressing concern for the fate of Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) soldiers who are surrounded by Russian troops.
The U.S. President mentioned his negotiations with Vladimir Putin, stating that "there is a very good chance that this horrible, bloody war can finally come to an end."
At the same time, he emphasized that "AT THIS VERY MOMENT, THOUSANDS OF UKRAINIAN TROOPS ARE COMPLETELY SURROUNDED BY THE RUSSIAN MILITARY, AND IN A VERY BAD AND VULNERABLE POSITION." He did not specify the location, but experts speculate that he was referring to the Kursk region.
According to Trump, he strongly urged Putin to spare their lives, as "this would be a horrible massacre, one not seen since World War II."
"God bless them all!!!" Trump wrote.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that, according to J.D. Vance, Trump's efforts to achieve peace are the fulfillment of Christ’s greatest commandment.
