Patriarch of Romania congratulates new Albanian Primate

Patriarch Daniel of the Romanian Orthodox Church sent a congratulatory message to Archbishop John, wishing him “many and blessed years in service to the Orthodox people” and “God’s help in all his activities.”

"With great joy in Christ, we wish to congratulate Your Eminence on the occasion of your election to the position of Archbishop of Tirana, Durres and All Albania. At the same time, we pray to our Lord Jesus Christ to grant you many spiritual accomplishments in the new mission that has been entrusted to you," the message of the Primate of the Romanian Church reads.

On behalf of the Holy Synod, the clergy and the faithful of the Romanian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Daniel also wished the Archbishop of Albania many years of fruitful service.

Earlier, the Union of Orthodox Christians of Albania wrote that Metropolitan Joan of Korça became the new Primate of the Albanian Church.
