UOC Eparchy organizes evacuation of residents from Sumy region communities

In response to intensified shelling, the Sumy Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) is organizing free evacuation for residents of border areas in the region, including the communities of Krasnopillia and Yunakivka, where significant damage to civilian infrastructure has been reported. This was announced by the diocese’s press service.

“We urge residents of border areas not to delay evacuation in order to preserve life and health!” the statement reads.

The evacuation is being coordinated by Archpriest Oleksandr Petrenko, head of the Rehabilitation Center for Soldiers and Civilians of the Sumy Eparchy.

As previously reported by the UOJ, the Sumy Eparchy highlighted its charitable activities in 2024.
