On 40 Martyrs Day, believers from three villages hold a cross procession

On March 22, 2025, the day commemorating the 40 Martyrs of Sebaste, the Khust Eparchy of the UOC held a traditional religious procession that passed through the villages of Zavadka, Velyki Komiaty, and Mali Komiaty, according to the eparchy's press service. Together with clergy, the faithful walked through the villages in a procession, glorifying the Martyrs of Sebaste and offering prayers for Ukrainian soldiers.
During stops along the way, priests delivered sermons highlighting the importance of steadfastness in faith and unity in times of trial. Special prayers were offered for those currently defending the homeland.
The religious procession concluded with a communal prayer in the church, where all participants turned to the Lord, asking for spiritual strength and blessing.
Earlier, it was reported that the Khust Eparchy had honored the memory of Venerable Alexiy of Carpatho-Rus.
