Mayor: Special services do their job to establish a local Church in Ukraine

Oleksandr Simchyshyn, the mayor of Khmelnytsky, published an FB video message regarding the activities of the UOC, in which he stated that after the SBU has done its job, there will be only a Ukrainian local Church in the country.

“To date the Church has made a lot of attempts to do something: statements, assurances about breaking communion. I think they can be given a day or two, but what they are doing is already too late... Nevertheless, our law enforcement agencies, our security services will soon do their job so that there will be a Ukrainian local Church in Ukraine, Ukrainian political parties, and everything Ukrainian. It cannot be otherwise. Only then will we win,” said the mayor of Khmelnytsky.

In his opinion, the local Church in Ukraine should have been established back in 2014.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that Filaret offered the UOC to unite into a "single local Church".
