Polish Orthodox Church confirms the visit of Phanar head to the country

The Polish Orthodox Church confirmed the visit of Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople to the country, the official website of the Church reports.

At a meeting of the Council on March 22, 2022, under the leadership of the Primate of the Polish Church, Metropolitan Sawa, and with the participation of all bishops and archbishops, information was read about the arrival of the head of Phanar in Poland.

Also, the Council of Bishops of the Polish Church took note of the information of Patriarch Bartholomew on the canonization of new saints in the Patriarchate of Constantinople.

It is reported that "at the meeting, the existing positions of individual Local Churches on the position of Orthodoxy in the modern world were assessed." In this regard, the Council of Bishops decided to appeal to all the heads of the Local Churches with a proposal to convene their meeting to discuss the situation.

As the UOJ reported, the Patriarchate of Constantinople reported that the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, invited the head of Phanar to the country, and that the invitation also came from the Primate of the Polish Church, Metropolitan Sawa.
