Dumenko receives Brovary authorities as a church community of Trebukhiv
On August 11, 2022, Epifaniy Dumenko received at his residence “representatives of the community of the Intercession of the Mother of God of Trebukhiv village, Brovary district, Kyiv region, which decided to enter the jurisdiction of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine,” the OCU website reports.
It is reported that "representatives of the community" told Dumenko that "despite the attempts of opponents to spread lies, the expression of the will of the community took place peacefully, completely voluntarily and on legal grounds."
At the same time, in the photographs of the meeting next to Dumenko are the head of the Brovary City Council Igor Sapozhko, a member of the executive committee of the Brovary City Council Oleksiy Doroshenko, the headman of the village Andriy Tsakhlo, as well as other Brovary officials, who, according to the parishioners of the Intercession Community of the UOC, had never been in the temple.
According to UOJ sources, not a single person among those who came to Serhiy Dumenko as a church community of the UOC has ever been in the temple, and they are not members of the Intercession Community.
Recall that on July 31, 2022, at its meeting, the religious community of the UOC church in honor of the Intercession of the Mother of God in the village of Trebukhiv, Brovary district, unanimously confirmed its allegiance to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and its Primate, His Beatitude Onuphry. The meeting was attended by 240 parishioners of the temple.
The rector of the community, Archpriest Mikhail Pavlyuk, then told the UOJ that the authorities were preparing their meeting at the stadium for August 6, which was gathering public sector workers. At a meeting of the City Council, Brovary Mayor Igor Sapozhko gave the task to collect the required number of people to vote for the transition. Later, the report on the meeting was posted on his Facebook page by the official of the Brovary City Council A. Doroshenko.
