"Myriany" appeals to SBU regarding the OCU raid in Pereyaslav

The Myriany public union appealed to the SBU and demanded that all those involved in the beating of the rector of the church in Pereyaslav and his wife be brought to justice.

Let us remind you that on November 5, supporters of the OCU, together with the Territorial Defense members, tried to seize the UOC church in Pereyaslav, beat the rector of the church, priest Oleh Rodionov, and his matushka, threatening to kill them.

"Today, all our strength, thoughts and prayers are with our brothers and sisters in Pereyaslav. We demand that all involved criminals be brought to justice! We must find out all the circumstances under which these traitors and saboteurs continue to provoke religious conflicts! Every raised hand against one of our believers must be immediately cut off by the Ukrainian legislation. We require an urgent action from you!" the message noted.

According to representatives of the public union, today's events "remove all ‘patriotic masks’ from the believers of the OCU and explicitly testify who is a friend of their country and who is an enemy."

"We declare that individual representatives of the OCU are open agents of a hostile state and its propaganda led by former President Poroshenko. If we are wrong, prove it not only with hypocritical appeals to the union, but with concrete actions to stabilize the inter-religious situation in Ukraine. We will follow!" added the Myriany public union.

As previously reported by the UOJ, in Pereyaslav OCU raiders tried to seize the church, beat a cleric and his wife.
