Institute of National Memory excludes Trinity from the list of "traditional" holidays
According to the authors of the bill, traditional holidays are only New Year, the Nativity of Christ and Easter.
In addition, the bill suggests 6 public holidays with a day-off: Shevchenko Day (9 March), Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation (8 May), the Day of the Constitution of Ukraine (28 June), Independence Day (24 August), Family Day (second Friday in September) and the Day of the Defender of Ukraine (14 October).
The Institute of National Memory suggests excluding from the list of public holidays Victory Day – 9 May, International Workers' Day – May 1-2, and International Women's Day – 8 March.
On February 3, petition №22 / 033491- en on the closure of the Institute of National Memory in connection with the anti-national activity of the institution appeared on the site of President of Ukraine.
