Google to tighten the fight against extremist videos on YouTube
To address the problem of violent terrorism online, the company is planning to increase the use of technology to help identify extremism and terrorism-related videos.
They will also devote more engineering resources to apply the most advanced machine learning search to train new "content classifiers" to help more quickly identify and remove terrorism-related videos.
Users of the service who viewed such video content will be redirected to anti-terrorist videos that can change their minds about joining terrorist groups.
Google will increase the number of independent expert in YouTube’s Trusted Flagger program, who will help identify emerging areas of concern.
In addition, the company will expand its work with counter-extremist organizations in their effort to fight terrorist content.
