Two altar boys of UOC church killed in Russian shelling in Donetsk region
The faithful are asked to pray for the newly departed brothers.
March 11, 2025 – Two brothers, Maksym and Tymofiy, who served as altar boys at the Protection of the Mother of God Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) in the village of Hryshyne, Donetsk region, were killed as a result of Russian shelling, the Pokrovsky Vicariate of the UOC reported.
"I ask for prayers for the newly departed brothers Maksym and Tymofiy, altar boys of the Protection Church in Hryshyne, who perished yesterday due to enemy shelling," the vicariate’s press service wrote.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that UOC clergy were injured in a Russian attack on Dobropillia.
