St Nicholas Monastery of UOC in Myropil affected by Russian shelling
The church in Sumy region suffered severe damage.
On March 19, 2025, the St. Nicholas Monastery of the UOC in Myropil, Sumy region, sustained severe damage due to Russian shelling, according to the press service of the Sumy Eparchy.
"The Holy Nicholas Monastery in the village of Myropil has been reduced to ruins following yet another Russian attack. The monastery walls are damaged, windows and doors shattered, and utility buildings destroyed. A place that for centuries stood as a center of spiritual strength and prayer now lies in ruins, a testament to the aggressor’s brutality," the statement reads.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that in Hryshyne, two young altar boys of a UOC church were killed by Russian shelling.
